The Radioactive Chicken Heads have clucked their way through the music industry and are ready to invade your homes on a weekly basis...but first we need your help!
In this 15 minute pilot episode, Behind The Mutants, we will reveal the shocking origins of the Radioactive Chicken Heads in a documentary style, from the twisted experiments of mad scientist, Dr. Baron Von Kluckinstein to the group's early struggles and triumphs as a band of misfit musicians.
Prepare yourself to see the mutant poultry punks in glorious live action as they battle robot bunny rabbits, giant globs of liquid fat, killer clownfish, and other bizarre creatures.
There will also be an expanded version DVD which will include the Radioactive Chicken Heads music videos and concert footage (available on DVD for the first time!)
We have launched a site to fund this project at IndieGoGo.com/RadioactiveChickenHeads and we are offering all kinds of cool stuff for your donations, including signed DVDs, CDs, posters, shirts and Radioactive Chicken Heads puppets!
Spread the word....With your support, the legend of the Radioactive Chicken Heads can finally be told!

The Radioactive Chicken Heads return to the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood this Friday, the 13th of May to open for the hit stage show, Re-Animator the Musical, Stuart Gordon's musical adaptation of his own 1985 horror cult classic film, "H.P. Lovecraft's Re-Animator." If you're in the LA area, don't chicken out on this one!!!!

Doors open at 10:30pm. The Radioactive Chicken Heads play at 11pm before the midnight performance of Re-Animator.

In 1985, Stuart Gordon directed his first feature film and created a sensation. It was "Re-Animator," a smashing success based on a horror story by H.P. Lovecraft. The film delivered as many laughs as it did screams making it a cult classic among horror fans and winning a Critic's Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Now, Gordon is back with his co-writers Dennis Paoli and William J. Norris and composer/lyricist Mark Nutter to turn "Re-Animator" into a musical for the stage.
Special effects are being done by the same guys who did them for the 1985 movie: Tony Doublin, John Naulin, and John Beuchler. And the blood will flow so freely that the first row will literally be designated as a "SPLASH ZONE." Needless to say, this show is not for small children. You won't want to miss "Re-Animator - The Musical." It's certain to inject some life into the spring stage season!

Welcome to the family, PUNKY ROOSTER!!
Thanks to everyone for coming out and making Fright Night at the Warner Grand in San Pedro a scary cluckin' good time! And special thanks to Noah K for putting on such a cool event.
Here's a few videos from the show....If anyone got photos, please send them our way!
The Radioactive Chicken Heads wrote and recorded the title song for an upcoming horror/comedy feature film, Atom the Amazing Zombie Killer.
The movie, directed by Richard Taylor, has been described as The Big Lebowski meets Dawn of the Dead, hence all the zombie and bowling references in the theme song.
The filming is still in production but you can hear the new song on our myspace or facebook music players right now!
Our show from last week got reviewed by Jo Problems in Big Wheel Magazine and it's a good one!! Check it out:
There are many arguments about what punk rock is "supposed" to be. Angry? Political? Violent? Silly? What often gets lost in these arguments is that at it’s heart, punk rock is supposed to be fun. Saturday night at the Knitting Factory was probably the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Opening the show were Los Angeles’ very own The Radioactive Chicken Heads. The Radioactive Chicken Heads are a group of mutated chickens, fronted by a mutant carrot, and supported by a tomato on guitar. You know, like any other band. The Radioactive Chicken Heads avoid the common pitfall of so many gimmicky bands, though.
They’ve got good songs. No, scratch that, they’ve got great songs. With sort of a metal-ish Punk rock sound, they were definitely right at home sharing a bill with Green Jelly. The crowd responded well to the music, and even better to the lithely attractive "Wikkan Chicken" who came off stage to dance with audience members. If you’re not comfortable being freaked by a mutant chicken in a witch hat, you might want to stay home. The band isn’t all shock value though, they managed to squeeze in some public service announcements about the dangers of liquid fat, and the benefits of eating kids, as well as an excellent cover of The Who’s "Boris the Spider" (complete with dancing… er… cockroach. Just go with it.) before their set was cut short. If you’re looking for something brilliant, funny, and addictively catchy, head over to http://radioactivechickenheads.com to check out the tour schedule, or their mp3 page.
It looks like the Radioactive Chicken Heads aren't the only "glow in the dark" mutants in town anymore...
According to today's news, scientists have genetically engineered monkeys by splicing jellyfish DNA into their embryos so that their hair roots, skin and blood glow fluorescent green under UV lights.

See any resemblance?
